I'm a big outdoors type of girl and have been on the hunt for vintage lanterns for quite some time to use for my personal camping trips and for decor. As you can see, I happen to find them in red, white, and blue so remember that for your next July 4th or patriotic event!

I have been disappointed for awhile because only warm color palettes and floral upholstered chairs & couches have crossed my path, but today I finally found this sweet pair of ladies & gentlemen chairs from the early 1900's in peacock blue/green to add to our assortment of seating inventory! Can't you feel the love between these two?

My favorite part is when the camera is rolling by the white church pews at 2:20. It's a day I'll never forget and my real favorite part was the preparation process - working alongside all the talented and amazing vendors bringing the event together as a whole. It was a huge honor.

This old industrial clothes rack is so versatile and cute. I made this display case with crates & fabric strips to hold The NotWedding invitation suite this past week and I can't wait for the pictures to come out. Dress it up and it'd make a great escort card holder, backdrop, etc!

25 of these 8' long gorgeous handmade farm tables are ready for rent at your next event! They can seat from 6-10 people each depending on your table setting preference. YES, I did say 25!

Looking for a unique alternative for seating at your wedding or event? These white pews came from a church in east Georgia and there are enough to seat 90-100 people. They are perfect for both indoor and outdoor events.

NOTE: The fireplace mantle below would make a great wedding alter with these pews!

I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th weekend! This is a gorgeous white fireplace mantle with a mirror that is going to travel a few hundred miles in September for one of our lovely brides! We're going to build shelves beside it for display items and picture frames. It's going to be fabulous and I can't wait.

The NotWedding 2011

As you may have noticed, we've been MIA for awhile but it's for a great cause. Not only are we busy keeping up with the whole biz, building/maintaining our inventory, and still working on the website, we are super stoked to announce that Four Inch Fold is one of the hand-selected vendors of this year's The NotWedding! It is a unique and alternative bridal show complete with a sit-down dinner, a ceremony and a dance-party reception! This year's event is held at the rad venue, Ambient + Studio. What we really love about The NotWedding are the same goals we share; to inspire brides, encourage solid marriages and promote small businesses. We are so excited to work alongside the talented & creative vendors and the The NotWedding staff. Four Inch Fold collaborated with Lucky + Lovely & Ciao Bella Weddings to achieve a vintage garden theme for their booth at this weekend's Wedding Day Hooray event. It was crazy in the beginning but as always, magic happened in the middle and it turned out awesome at the end. These talented ladies are sweet and fun to work with! There's still time to check out Wedding Day Hooray before the weekend ends!

Birdy: Skinny Love

 A vintage inspired music video for a beautiful song. I love the distressed window pane, dusty piano, vintage boots, her dress, the architecture - everything down to the peeling wallpaper & dead spider still hung on its web. It's all about the details!

This was a very soft & feminine theme in a rose garden and I can't wait to share the photographer's (MYNX Photography) pictures. I took this with my standard digital camera just for you guys.

Our inventory used in the photo shoot:

First photo: suitcases, white bench, typewriter, white birdcage, and a metal tin can labeled "Southern Belle" & "Sugar"

Second photo: clover table, (2) farm chairs, baby ben clocks & big ben clock, bundles of coverless books, silver tea set placed on a vanity mirror tray, and doilies.

peek of the day: unique enamel sink stand

I was inspired by the wall-hung enamel sink filled with moss/grass at a flea market so when I stumbled on this unique sink stand (3'-6" high) made of steel scraps, I got a bit weak. Place one or two wood crates or suitcases on top of the cross bracing. Fill the sink with a layer of moss or grass and stick your favors or name/table labels in it. Fill it with ice and beverages. Fill it with flowers and vines spilling out at sides.

I have two of these "project" chairs in which I was going to reupholster the seats but decided to use them as matching chair planters as inspired by the picture shown. Can't wait to transform them!

A rusty 3- tier metal wheelbarrow plant stand with scalloped trays. Great for holding flowers, favors, desserts, candles, and just about anything!

About 5' tall with a bottom shelf to display just about anything. The simple form allows for various ways to dress it up.

We have 74 of these cute & adorable half pint glass milk bottles from the 1940's-50's that were originally used in school lunches! Neatly organized in galvanized aluminum trays of 36 and comes in square or round shape! Perfect for any occasion.

A weathered wood slat beverage cart with a hidden sink that can be filled with ice and your favorite drinks or dessert snacks. It also has a 4-bottle rack on the bottom and wine glass holders underneath the counter near the push handle. Conveniently on wheels to serve everyone at your event!

A simple full-size quilt with a gorgeous paisley fabric that has aged gracefully!

This Zenith model G730 AM/FM radio from the 1950's would add an authentic appeal to any background!

I love the worn wood and detail on this pretty little bench! The mauve & white floral fabric gives it a subtle vintage chic feel.

We have two of these medieval dining chairs with beautiful wood details and cranberry-red velvet upholster seats.

peek of the day: steamer trunk

This old wardrobe steamer trunk from the early 1900's is in excellent condition. All the components are still intact and functional. The interior walls and drawers are lined with a gorgeous fabric throughout. It makes me wonder who the owner(s) were and their travels. This beauty has already traveled over 1,000 miles with me.

To make up for the lack of updates or peek of the day posts this past week, I'm sharing a few today. I'm a one woman band and I guess you can say I'm a multidisciplinary girl. I've been busy picking for requested inventory items, prepping for photoshoots & events, styling, running all over Georgia to pick up items (which I very much enjoy the quiet stroll of the back country roads), photographing items, photoshopping, designing FIF's website, designing my last set of wedding invitations/save the date cards, and creating new illustrations for future use in weddings...whew! To top it off, I also work for one of the best architectural firms! Ok, getting back to this unique chair - I love finding items in its "as is" condition of natural wear and tear. It's a huge bonus when the fabric pattern and form are beautiful & authentic. This wingback chair definitely represents it!

We have two of these benches in lengths of 4'-0" and 4'-6". They were originally used as radiator covers with a pretty metal mesh in the front. We recently used one of them in a fashion bridal photo shoot and can't wait to share it with you!
